Lac Alexander , a carp fishing lake in Chassemy, France. Only 2.5 hours from Calais this newly opening lake boasts carp up to 50lb, with the majority of carp in the lake being 30lb+. The lake is 4 acres in size and comfortably fits 4 anglers. the lake has recently been stocked with fantastic carp, including a large original stock that are still being caught for the first time to this day. We have all the facilities required for a comfortable stay and an enjoyable angling experience.
The Lake.
The lake itself is split down the middle by a narrow spit that runs around 60% of the lake with 1 small island at the end. Each swim has been strategically placed to maximize the water and options available, each of which holds different options, Snaggy corners, under arm casts and long chucks, margin spots or open water. The lake will always be yours to fish as you see fit. The lake is around 5 to 6 foot deep with a variation of different bottoms from soft silt to hard gravel. Although this lake can be challenging the rewards are there to be had. Tight lights.
Our story.
Lac Alexander was purchased at the end of 2021 by Luke and Kateryna Bernard and of course our son Alexander. The first time we laid our eyes on this lake we fell in love with it and I'm sure everyone will understand once you see it for yourself. Our goal was to make a fishing paradise for anglers by anglers.
Future plans.
We have run Lac Alexander for a few years now and we have always resisted the urge to open as soon as possible, this was never about making money for us this has always been about creating a carp fishing paradise. We will never stop improving what we have created and focusing on continuous improvements, we will always ask your opinion and listen going forward to create a perfect carp fishery for you.
Location.
Lac Alexander is nestled in rural france, near the sleepy village Chassemy. A comfortable under 3 hour drive from Calais means driving from the UK gives you a same day arrival at the lake. The owner or bailiff will always meet you upon your arrival and walk you through everything you will need to know for your holiday from how everything works to the top spots to help you get on the fish.
Local supermarket is around a 5 minute drive away form the lake stocking all manor of food and drinks that you will require. Should you wish there is a local kebab and pizza takeaway in the village, and a couple small bakeries serving fresh baked goods.

Had a fantastic couple of nights at Lac Alexander in the summer,multiple fish to high 30’s in a tranquil setting, was only a 2 hour ish drive from Calais near a small town with more than enough to sustain yourself such as shops bakery’s and takeaways. Will 100% be going back for a longer period of time to get amongst some of the near 50lb fish I have seen pictures of.

This place is spot on, Luke has done a great job here, the whole thing. lake is very well maintained and the grounds around it. The facilities cabin cooking, bbq, shower is perfect, and perfectly set.
It feels very exclusive, such a privilege to enjoy, the fishing was excellent. All 4 of the party were very pleased with what they caught and the regularity of their catches, up to 41lb with regular 30's coming out.
Luke takes great care of his fish and the grounds. The location is ideal shops and the takeaway royal pizza all 6 minutes away. Its been an absoloute pleasure. See you next time guys
